Golfing Over It is a punishing, physics-based 2D platformer where your only tool for survival is a golf swing. Scale towering, unpredictable mountains, navigate deep caves, and avoid devastating falls. One wrong swing could send you tumbling all the way back to the bottom.

Developed as a capstone project by game engineering students from Sheridan College, Golfing Over It was officially selected and exhibited at the 2026 Level Up Showcase in Toronto, sponsored by Zynga.

⛳ Key Features

• Procedurally Generated Agony: No two climbs are ever the same. The terrain, shortcut tunnels, breakable walls, and obstacles are mathematically generated using complex procedural algorithms. If you fall, you’ll have to master the exact same mountain—but every new game is a brand-new world.
• Chaotic Local Multiplayer: Grab a friend and share the suffering! Play locally and vote to teleport to each other's balls to keep the run alive. Will you work together to reach the top, or will you "accidentally" ricochet your friend off the map?
• Hidden Anaglyph Mechanics: Craft or equip a pair of classic Red/Blue 3D Anaglyph glasses to experience the game’s hidden layers. Toggle the specialized rendering mode to reveal secret obstacles, platforms, and pathways invisible to the naked eye.
• Dynamic Club Switching: Swap between the Iron, Wedge, Wood, and Putter to perfectly angle your shots. You'll need the right trajectory to clear gaps, blast through breakable walls, and avoid the abyss.
• Robust Achievement System: Track your progression with a massive gallery of custom achievements. Unlock rewards for incredible high-altitude shots, century-club stroke counts, or suffering a massive synchronized fall with your co-op partner.
• Save Your Sanity: Need a break? The game features a fully deterministic cloud-ready save system. Quit whenever you want, and the game will perfectly reconstruct your exact mountain, caves, and obstacles when you return.

🛠️ Controls

Fully supports both Keyboard/Mouse and Gamepads (Xbox/PlayStation). Jump into the game and press H (or the View/Share button) to pull up the full HUD overlay for the control scheme.
